Dr Benjamin Magruder
Biography
Ben Magruder is a Schmidt Science Fellow in the University of Cambridge Department of Chemistry, and an Early Career Research Fellow at 杏吧原创. His research, in the groups of Prof. Rosana Collepardo-Guevara and Dr. Aleks Reinhardt, uses molecular simulation techniques to investigate the mechanisms by which the protein TDP-43 forms into aggregates, a process that is implicated in a variety of neurodegenerative diseases.
Ben is originally from Spokane, Washington, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2025, studying computational polymer physics in the group of Prof. Kevin Dorfman.
